Cubot X19 Pros And Cons Review
Everything you would want to know about the benefits and the cost of the Cubot X19 Android phone.
Display
The Screen resolution of the Cubot X19 is 2160 x 1080 with 408PPI (Pixels Per Inch) that is, even more, higher than the Xiaomi Mi8 which has 2248 X1080 Pixel 402PPI screen. You may be wondering why the X19 has a higher Pixels Per Square inch score when its resolution is slightly lower and that's because it has a slightly smaller screen of 5.93 Inches to the Xiaomi Mi 8, 6.21 inches which makes it possible for the X19 to have a screen with higher pixel density.
My only reasonable complaint about the Cubot X19's screen is the lack of Gorilla Glass which the Xiaomi Mi8 does have, what's the point of a high PPI screen if it breaks, but you do have some options that can be used to protect the screen.
A simple cheap screen protector can help to protect the screen in place of Gorilla Glass.

A case is another option to protect the X19, most modern Androids carry the con of a missing lanyard hole so you can't wear your phone but we have cases with lanyards

Cubot X19 Dual Sim And Memory Expansion
Dual sim phones like the Cubot X19 often carry the flaw of making one of the sim slots used for a second sim card slot a hybrid slot meaning it works as both an SD card slot or a Sim card slot which robs you of the option of using the phone as a dual sim phone and have an additional SD card to increase memory. Unfortunately, Cubot X19 model phones carry this flaw so you can have two Sim Nano sim size sim cards or one nano sim card and an SD card of up to 128GB in the X19 at once. If you are happy with the 64GB internal memory minus 8.55GB for Android 8.1 plus whatever other preinstalled apps the manufacturer (Cubot) has installed then it's not a problem. You do have other memory options like cloud storage but personally, I don't like using data to retrieve my data.

When Will Cubot Update To The Cubot X19 To Android 9.0 Or Higher
According to Cubot, the Cubot X19 will be upgraded to Android 9.0 within three months. When will the Cubot X19 be updated to Android 9.0 you may ask. Well the Cubot X19 hit the market around the 18th January 2019 so three if Cubot is true to their word around three months from then.
Good Picture Quality May Be Better With Pie
One of the major complaints of Dual camera phones like the Cubot X19 which has 16.0MP + 2.0MP rear camera is that two cameras are definitely not always better than one and phone with one good camera would do. The picture quality produced by the Cubot X19 is actually pretty good quality for the price and with the Android 9.0 Pie update, there is a chance of it getting still. Android 9.0 features a multi-camera API (Application Programme Interface) it does a lot but one of the things it does that is most relevant to a phone like the Cubot X19 allowing multiple cameras to work together so dual sim camera phones can take better pictures.

For The Price
The makers are saying it will be the “killer of mid-end phones” so let’s see how they will be competing price-wise.
Cubot has delivered on their promise by producing the Cubot X19 and selling it for just 169.99 and that's not including the Flash sale price of 119.99. Cubot is a master at producing high value for money phones and this time they have really outdone themselves. Every fault is forgivable because of the price and the functions are remarkable considering the price.

Bluetooth 4.0 is the norm for small Chinese brands, Bluetooth 4.2 is just another way that Cubot shows off the incredible value for money the X19 has to offer. Bluetooth 4.2 is 250 percent faster than Bluetooth 4.0
Android 8.1 is the first version of Android to display the energy levels of Bluetooth devices connected to android phones.
Initially, Android 8.1 is installed in the Cubot X19 but an upgrade to Android 9.0 has been confirmed by Cubot.

Gyroscope is a feature that is not always included in medium priced phones but it's one of those features that you miss when you don't have it. Considering the price of the X19 at worst is around $170 and at best $119.99 the gyroscope sensor being on a phone this cheap is a major advantage over many competing Android of similar price. Gyroscope is the feature that allows you to turn the phone itself to move the screen which is great for watching VR videos.
One Sensor that the Cubot X19 does not have that you probably would want is NFC.

More Benefits With A Small Price
Sound quality is also good and the Helio P23 CPU runs Videos and apps smoothly. Genuinely when a phone has a Type-C
USB port the 3.5mm port is removed and instead, you have to use a Type-C to 3.5mm adapter to use 3.5mm accessories. Cubot X19 phones are equipped with a Type-C USB port and a 3.5mm port.
The battery will last a full day with high usage and given that the battery is 4000mah the weight is not too bad only 175 Grams, I know that may be a little bit heavy to some but for the price, it's a very small price to pay.
Pros
High 408 PPI
Value For Money
Type C USB And 3.5MM Port
Android 9.0 Update
Sensors
At Least You have an SD Card option
Cons
No NFC
No Gorilla Glass (Can Use Case For Protection)
No Separate Sim Card Slot
Maybe A little heavy To some

Cubot Max 5 OTG
You need to use OTG with the Max 5 and I'll tell you why. Cubot's Max 5 is an OTG phone which is not surprising given Cubot's track record and the specific selling point of the Max 5. OTG Can be used to enhance the 256GB internal memory with a flash drive, this specifically is important because you cannot increase the internal memory with an SD card. OTG works with Android and even console controllers so if you plan to use the Max 5 because of its selling point this may be a must-use feature.

Cubot Max 5 NFC
Cubot's max 5 joins a roster of Cubot NFC enabled phones. NFC enables Google Pay which is a contactless form of payment similar to Apple Pay. Other NFC Near Field communication features include the ability to quickly transfer information wherever you see the NFC symbol such as transportation services that let you download maps and times tables. You can also get NFC tags that you can program yourself using an NFC phone like th Cubot Max 5. Cubot's Roster https://www.shipsgoods.com/blog/cubot-phon
