Cubot P20 4G Phablet Review
Screen
By Definition, a phablet phone is a phone that is categorized as a phone/ tablet because its screen size is 5 inches or above. A few years ago the Cubot A890 that had a screen considered large at 4.7 inches and now the norm is at least 5.5 inches, Cubot's X18 Plus phone has a screen of 5.99 inches and Cubot P20 Phablet phones have screen sizes of 6.18 inches. Cubot has also outdone themselves against their Cubot X18 Plus with the Cubot P20's screen resolution being slightly higher.
Because of the size and clarity of the P20 android display, it's really good for reading. Very bright and accurate which is good for viewing and gaming plus the contrast of colours is wonderful.
The reason I am contrasting the Cubot P20 and Cubot X18 Plus phones is not just because of the display it's because they use the same CPU's so anyone interested in the Cubot P20 would probably be interested in how it compares the Cubot X18 plus. They also have a lot more in common.

Cubot P20 MT6750T Review
One recurring fault of modern phablet phones is the saving of space by using one of the dual Sim slots an SD card slot so you can't have dual sim and an SD card at the same time. 64GB is a good amount of memory and the Cubot P20 comes without many unwanted apps to drain space so you get a pretty clean version of Android 8.0. The dual sim slot fault is not shared by the X18 Plus but they also have the same MT6750T CPU clocked at 1.5GHZ with 4GB of Ram and 64GB of internal memory. The Cubot X18 plus phablet can store 2 nano sim cards that operate on 2G 3G and even 4G networks plus it can store an SD card up to 128GB like the p20 without the cost of a sim card slot.
This is a fault depending on how much memory you require and if your willing to give up a slot. Dual Sim phones offer you the most out of two different networks, for instance, one network may be great for 4G and another to call people on or perhaps one for business and another for pleasure. Android 8.0 Oreo is super clean without many unwanted apps.
Performance is great clock speed is not the highest but the 4GB ram enables the P20 to handle demanding games.
SD Cards For Cubot P20

Cubot Max 5 OTG
You need to use OTG with the Max 5 and I'll tell you why. Cubot's Max 5 is an OTG phone which is not surprising given Cubot's track record and the specific selling point of the Max 5. OTG Can be used to enhance the 256GB internal memory with a flash drive, this specifically is important because you cannot increase the internal memory with an SD card. OTG works with Android and even console controllers so if you plan to use the Max 5 because of its selling point this may be a must-use feature.
Cubot Max 5 NFC
Cubot's max 5 joins a roster of Cubot NFC enabled phones. NFC enables Google Pay which is a contactless form of payment similar to Apple Pay. Other NFC Near Field communication features include the ability to quickly transfer information wherever you see the NFC symbol such as transportation services that let you download maps and times tables. You can also get NFC tags that you can program yourself using an NFC phone like th Cubot Max 5. Cubot's Roster https://www.shipsgoods.com/blog/cubot-phon
